When Old Movies Pop Up on YouTube

Had a sick video from my WAY past pop up, a friend asked if I had seen it on You Tube.



Makes a person think, about what they have done and want to do. Still I think its better for people to make "mistakes" and grow rather than sit alone and do nothing.

So I have been having problems with Brightcove. Only I uploaded this cartoon well before those began and since I have nothing to say today other than to go over screenplay rewrites for Things Going Smoothly looks like I'm posting this toon.

To Brightcoves benefit though they did email and ask to help out with whatever problems I may be having. Maybe if I get more than a few minutes between jobs where I want to work on things online I will communicate with them. They still are in Beta after all.

And its Thanksgiving, so why the hell are all the people on the third floor yelling at each other and moving stuff out of the apartment?

BrightCove, an Option for Vloggers?

The Flash on the home page sucks ass. Way too much time to load, then for me at least, my computer thinks I'm not doing anything and disconnects my internet access. (So I kept an alternate page going trying to keep the connection alive) Nevermind that it takes an eternity to move from screen to screen. And why is it exactly that we have to have a gazillion things to do before we post our video?

OK. I understand and can even appreciate the BrightCove Publishpod, saves their servers from having to convert all this video. Good idea.

It automatically Uploads! Great!

So what the fuck happened with the web console? Step by step only works sometimes. From an uploaded video to the Titles to the Lineups. Then nothing is there when I try to make a Player. Not only does that piss me off and waste my time, but why the hell are there that many steps?

Sorry, I'm new to this whole Vlogging thing and used Brightcove cause I heard it's a bunch of local boys from Boston/Cambridge.

Then again I made a Vlog and tried to upload it, Brightcove only pissed me off. I wished I hadn't lost all of my passwords to all the other video sharing sites in my move. My Vlog will have to wait for another day.

Brightcove promises ad revenue from hits/views, I remember another video site promising the same thing in the pre 2000 bust. Can they pull it together? Will Brightcove ever deliver?

Truth is I'd like to see it. The future of media is here online. If they play it right. Maybe they only care about creating a startup that will be gobbled by Google. So far they can suck my balls until they steamline the upload process.

A roast for Miss Kitty Litter at the Biltmore Hotel, Downtown Providence.
Strange to be at an event without working, but as a guest. Still, all night all I could do was rip apart the DJ and how bad he was. He didn't know how to use the equalizer on his sound system, couldn't or wouldn't get rid of the feedback, left the mic for the lip syncing on so feedback screamed into the room when the girls went in front of the speakers. I could go on but why.

All in all a fun event. My only question, does Miss Kitty Litter have something against Haley Star? This is the second event she has forgoten to thank her at the end of the night.
