So much for getting stuff done

Bisquits and BBQ ribs. No real butter but Country Crock.

My cat cuts herself on her stomach with her own tongue and the sores ooze puss onto my ex-roomates furniture. Jay Leno on TV and my X-roomate is outside with a guy she
should have dumped a year ago.

H.P. Lovecraft's Grave

Newer than the dark, early 1900's headstone I expected. Kind of a let down. Then again it was only added in 1977. Heard people had vandalized it in the past. Often with the quote:

"That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die."

Wonder what the original would have looked like had he realized the noteriety of his works while he was alive? Swan Point Cemetary is a nice enough setting though.

Things Going Smoothly

- like always.

The idea has been in my head forever, in one shape or another, as long as time has existed. A movie, not with this title in the begining, not the next couple of scripts which all seemed to meld into one in the end. Then one day, working way too many hours and it hit me. Spools of register tape were sacrificed for notes on the movie that was to come. Feverish morning working at the keyboard instead of sleeping and it flowed.

FLOWED.

I knew this was the one. The story, the way I wanted to tell it.

And then the computer crashed.

I thought it was my monitor and bought a new one.

Other circuits seem to be conspiring against the production of this movie. Can't get a signal to the monitor. Problem with XP? Probably. I think it was the Palm Treo Software, maybe changed the refresh rate or added a video driver that wasn't compatable. I think about wiping the CMOS by pulling the battery on the motherboard and realize I have never done that before and start to second guess myself. Will it really work?

And what of my script?

I was in the process of backing everything up after months of living in my friends backyard, desperatley working at the laptop and being consumed by mosquitos. Having to wipe my exposed skin in dryer sheets; surrounded by citronella torches wasn't enough. From roofless to apartment dweller, though the situation hasn't changed much, no heat, electricity in another persons name, no way to cook food or take a hot shower. No TV, no stereo. No DVD player or VHS tape deck.

No internet access.

But I really want to make this Movie.
